Maintaining the standard of our brand and contributing to the profitability of our business, the role of the Sous Chef/Kitchen manager is integral.
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years cooking experience (required).
- At least 1 year of kitchen management (preferred).
- Ability to frequently bend, reach overhead and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally squat, sit, climb, kneel, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work a 10-hour shift.
Job Responsibilities:
The Sous Chef / Kitchen manager at our Tempe location is responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Monitoring production of all prep items and menu items ensuring company recipes are followed and quality standards are maintained.
- Overseeing staff and ensuring proper training and development for line and prep cooks.
- Ensuring food handling and sanitation measures are adhered to, in compliance with county and state health departments and company policies.
- Managing labor cost for the kitchen on a daily basis.
- Completing all accounting and administrative duties as directed.
- Overseeing waste control program and monitor throw always, spoilage, and mistakes.
- Ensuring the kitchen is organized, equipment is well maintained, and the area is clean.
