3+ years of prior culinary experience at a highly regarded/rated restaurant and/or resort setting
High school graduate and an apprenticeship, cooking school or culinary institute education.
Must be comfortable with food and labor costing, menu development, and training.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high pressured environment.
Ability to work not traditional working hours, weekends and all holidays.
Possess current health department certifications required to work in a kitchen.
Must have current California Food Handler Card
Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
Requires the ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools.
Strong organizational skills.
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Physical Required Qualifications:
Standing 8-10hours/day
The noise level in the work kitchen environment is usually moderate, but will escalate during peak season
Job Expectations regarding Scheduling:
This position requires a flexible schedule with shifts that consists of a rotating schedule of weekday and weekend shifts, including day, night, and holiday work hours.
Relocation Requirements:
Must be able and willing to relocate to Two Harbors on Santa Catalina Island, CA
