POSITION SUMMARY
The primary focus of the Southeast Regional Sales Manager will be working with Cline’s wholesaler partners in AL, GA, MS, NC, SC and TN as well as continuous dedication to account level work within the region, both on and off-premise. CLINE is going through a generational transformation, and needs a candidate who can be an effective leader, and strategically mange our distributor partners at the VP/GM level, as well as the local account level both on and off-premise. Successful candidates will be high-energy, high-credibility personalities who love to close deals, love working in the wine industry and are proven, trusted relationship builders. The position is based in Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

This is a salaried full-time position, with a competitive compensation package that will include an annual bonus opportunity, automobile allowance, company phone and technology plan, matching 401k program upon qualification, and eligibility for company health and wellness benefits upon qualification.
Salary Range: $112,000 - $125,000/year (Depending on Experience)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & EXISTING SKILLS
- Work independently and with wholesalers key account managers and sales representatives “on the street,” driving case volume and direct account calls both on premise and off premise regional and national accounts and regular engagement with distributor on premise and off premise Chain Account Managers.
- Serve as the winery’s primary interface with our distributor partners; managing goals and incentive programs, establishing competitive pricing and support levels. Proactively manage distributor network at all levels, including, but not limited to: General Managers, Channel VPs, Portfolio Managers, Chain Account Managers, pricing and purchasing directors, as well as finance and operations managers.
- Produce compelling and creative presentations to help educate our partners on our brands, marketing initiatives, new items, etc.
- Consistently appearing in local, regional and statewide meetings to educate our partners on our brands and upcoming marketing initiatives, new items and programs.
- Work with Cline Eastern Division VP on establishing annual distributor shipment and depletion goals.
- Maintain and manage competent wholesale structures for each distributor.
- Proficiently handle and manage monthly distributor invoices.
- Provide Cline senior management with requested reports including on-going accomplishment recaps, key account target list updates, work-with schedules, monthly activity calendar, etc.
- Travel and Expense Reports - must be submitted twice per month on the CLINE Cellars Expense Report and within your allotted T&E budget.
- Overnight travel is a requirement: 50% of time is spent in the field calling on accounts and 50% of time spent working on computer and meeting with distributors.
- Achieving annual Region depletion goals is a requirement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills?
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Supplier Representative preferred or minimum 5 years large wine distributor management experience.
- Have established selling relationships with key chain and independent buyers and distributors in the region.
- Have experience in the On-Premise channel, including key hotel, catering and convention accounts, as well as the ability to present to the highest level of chef and sommelier-managed restaurant wine programs.
- Candidates with established relationships with on premise regional & national account buyers will receive extra consideration in the interview process.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Have excellent presentation, public speaking and computer skills.
- Are proficient in VIP/iDig, Diver, Micro-Strategy, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Articulate and use Nielsen data.
- Valid driver license and proof of valid automobile insurance.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist and squat on occasion.
- Drive for three to five hours at a time.
