Special Education Teacher – Federal Way, Washington
Contract Length: 30 weeks | Compensation: Up to $60/hr based on experience

Job Description:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student success.
• Modifying lessons and materials to meet students' unique needs.
• Providing direct instruction to students in both individual and small group settings.
• Assessing students' progress and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Washington State.
• Experience working with students with learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, or other special needs preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance.
