Special Education Instructional Health Assistant (2024-2025) - Bullitt East High - Bullitt County Public Schools

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Bullitt East High School is searching for a highly motivated and positive team member to assist a certified teacher inproviding instruction to groups of students, monitor and report student progress, and enhance overallstudent performance. Experience working with students, intervention systems, and small groups arestrongly desired.

This position will provide assistance for students with special needs. Candidate must be able to attendtraining for the position. Candidate must meet all qualifications necessary to be hired for the position asinstructional assistant.

The position is for6.5 hours per dayand 183 days per year.

170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 2 extended days

Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

• Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma and have passed the paraeducator assessment exam. Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

Step 0 : $15.59

Step 10: $19.19

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.(NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks. This position is considered atenmonthemployee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
