Salary: $60,750

* Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress.
* Effectively work with large team of professionals needs to coordinate services.

* Implement state of the art strategies to work effectively with students with Autism.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:


* Teachers working at a Merakey School are required to have a minimum of bachelor's degree and a valid Texas Special Education certificate.
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience (3-5 preferred) working with students with an autism diagnosis and high intensity behavior needs is required.
* Must obtain and maintain agency physical management certification credentials through Quality Behavioral Solutions (QBS)/Safety Care.
* Demonstrated ability to develop classroom strategies that promote an effective teaching and learning environment utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
* Ability to maintain composure in high crisis situations and lead the classroom team in appropriate and approved responses. Ability to follow Behavior Intervention Plans with consistency and fidelity, while also making in the moment informed decisions when needed.
* Experience applying ABA principles in a clinic or school setting.
