Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Media, PA 19063

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:15am-2:45pm (Full-Time)

Type: Open-Ended Contract 

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Offer continuous emotional support to students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Educate students in grades 9-12 across various subjects.
• Address and manage classroom behavior.
• Work with support staff to ensure effective classroom management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Special Education certification
• Bachelor's Degree minimum
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience with behavior management
• Ability to teach multiple subjects
• PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 2 years)
• FBI Criminal Background Check and Fingerprints (within 2 years)
• PA Criminal History Check (within 2 years)
• TB Test (within 3 months)
• Physical or documentation authorized to work (within 1 year)
• Mandated Reporter Training Certification (within 4-5 years)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 182)
• Completed Act 168
