How you’ll make an impact:
The Specialist, Direct Marketing Operations will manage multiple marketing campaigns that directly impact subscriber conversion and retention. This role is essential in contributing to the overall success of marketing initiatives and day-to-day marketing operations management.
What you’ll do:
Marketing Operations Campaign Functions:
- Manage ongoing Direct Mail campaigns/packages, and new campaigns/tests from inception to launch.
- Work with mail house to ensure that complex campaign setup instructions are successfully implemented.
- Request and verify cost estimates for new campaigns/changes; provide alternative plans to marketing partners as requested.
- Proof letter copy – ensure accuracy of body copy, variable data, offer details (legal language).
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
- Research and implement personalization to letters where applicable; channel recommendations, personalized QR codes, etc.
- Update and order printed materials. Forecast inventory levels for various package components: envelopes, letterheads, brochures, buckslips, channel guides, etc.
- Manage the seed list for all SXM campaigns; work with vendor to update and maintain SXM team member seed requirements.
- Maintain high-quality, error-free execution for each print project and direct mail package.
Finance Functions:
- Verify and process invoices from mail house; monitor late invoices for all teams and expedite approvals.
- Learn monthly accruals process (submitted to Finance and Accounting teams); work with vendors to ensure accuracy of accruals.
- Assist with weekly direct mail postage reports for Accounting.
Reports:
- Regularly update direct mail cost document: total cost for each direct mail package – printed materials, postage and mail house fulfillment costs.
- Assist with direct mail legal investigations; work with legal and operations team in research of investigation.
- Maintain quarterly historical archives and sample notebooks of all direct mail packages.
- Review weekly Direct Mail Process Reports to ensure that the mail house is processing campaigns on time.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, English or related major.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct marketing experience.
- Must be detail oriented and very organized.
- Disciplined and committed to department goals.
- Take initiative and follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proofreading, grammar and spelling skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Create and update Excel spreadsheets/charts.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
