About the Role: As a Field Engineering Representative (FER), you’ll be the critical link between engineering teams and customers, supporting the testing, troubleshooting, and modification of military tracked and wheeled vehicles. You’ll work on a variety of platforms, providing hands-on support with software and hardware diagnostics, keeping vehicles operational during rigorous testing phases.
Your role will involve direct troubleshooting, interacting with technical documentation (e.g., engineering change orders, blueprints, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems), and collaborating with engineers to resolve complex issues. You'll also have the chance to support exciting test missions across various USG test sites, including APG, YPG, EPG, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and customers to test and troubleshoot military vehicles.
- Perform direct platform-level troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
- Maintain vehicles and ensure readiness for both Developmental (DT) and Operational Testing (OT).
- Generate and submit daily progress reports, engineering logs, and incident reports (UIR).
- Lead and guide mechanics, soldiers, and additional crew members during maintenance activities.
- Support aggressive test schedules and adapt to diverse testing environments with creativity and problem-solving.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience operating and maintaining military vehicles (wheeled/tracked).
- Experience in USG Developmental/Operational Testing or relevant military testing background.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for automotive and weapons systems, with the ability to provide field diagnostics and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, and software systems, plus excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and software programs like Team Center and iads.
- Must hold (or be able to obtain) a Secret security clearance (or NACI).
- Valid driver’s license required.
