Specialty Swing Shift Veterinary Technician - Fetch Veterinary

Fetch Veterinary is a thriving animal hospital dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to pets in our community. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Specialty Swing Shift Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Specialty Swing Shift Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our four-legged patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including but not limited to handling, restraint, and administration of medications
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal testing
• Monitor vital signs of patients during surgical procedures and recovery
• Prepare animals for surgery, including administering anesthesia and assisting with intubation
• Perform diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays and ultrasounds, and assist with interpreting results
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Provide comfort and support to pet owners during difficult times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital, preferably in a specialty setting
• Proficiency in common veterinary procedures and techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work swing shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
