We are seeking an energetic, flexible and experienced person for Specialty & Wellness Scheduling Coordinator in our Specialty & Wellness clinic in Derry, NH. The hours for this full-time position are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with a Saturday rotation approximately every 8 weeks.
Position Overview:
The Specialty & Wellness Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily front desk operations related to Wellness and Specialty Services. The coordinator will manage all aspects of specialty referrals, oversee provider schedules and resources, collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and various DMC administrative departments. The coordinator will participate in the ongoing development and revision of workflows for smooth front desk operations, with a goal of maintaining and furthering Wellness and Specialty services as a strong ancillary practice supporting our Primary Care Practices. The coordinator will work closely with office managers, front desk staff, physicians, community agencies to offer quality, evidence and standards-based services to individuals and community groups. Answering and managing patient phone calls and patient outreach are important function of this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of an associate's degree in a medical and/or business field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in billing and insurance verification of medical services
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an outpatient clinic
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - Preferably Veradigm (Formerly AllScripts)
- Staff schedule management
- Medical and office supply ordering
- Front desk coverage
- Patient outreach
- Experience in a primary care or specialty clinic setting (cardiology, diabetes, sports medicine, etc.) is preferred
