Specification Engineer - Weston & Sampson

About the Job
Weston & Sampson is seeking a Specification Engineer to coordinate the preparation of all technical specification documents for the company's projects.
What you’ll do:
- Provide technical advice during design and construction to ensure work quality
- Assist in proposal preparation, maintain relationships with clients, and conduct other business development related tasks
- Represent Weston & Sampson during relevant public engagement opportunities
- Assist in maintaining the company library to include:
- Purchase all technical books and publications
- Maintain reference files of state (CMRs) and federal regulations (CFRs) needed by staff
- Maintain master specifications, updating as needed
- Review all specifications prepared by technical staff for consistency, format, and technical correctness
- Assist project engineers in preparation of specifications and advise design team on constructability of designs
- Maintain standard drafting details by working with the Quality and Design Technology management team
- Provide other assistance as needed by the Construction Services Manager
What you will bring:
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in consulting engineering or construction management
- Proven track record of technical competence and familiarity with construction specifications
- Strong understanding of technical disciplines commonly utilized by subconsultants
- Ability to meet deadlines and work within a team
