Become part of our team and join our mission to make life healthier for everyone in our community! **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering speech/language pathology evaluation and intervention to patients with communication and swallowing disorders, as referred by a licensed provider. + Administer treatments as determined by the evaluation in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. + Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. + Assist to develop clinical programs for optimum patient care and service. Participate in operational aspects, performance improvement, and Quality Improvement activities within the department. + Provide input in formulating budget, assist in evaluation of departmental performance, and take action to remain in budget guidelines. + Ensure that patient charges and documentation are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Supervise students, volunteers, and office assistants. + Participate in infection control, equipment training, compliance, safety and educational programs, both at the departmental and organizational level./li> **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology or Communicative Disorders or equivalent degree approved by the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association + Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association. + Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech-Language Pathologist). **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE** UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
