About the Department:
- The Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit implements a team approach, offering physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapies, social workers and 24-hour rehabilitation nursing care under the direction of a medical director who specializes in rehabilitation. The unit offers comfortable, spacious rooms designed to maximize each patient's rehabilitation potential. Therapy areas are conveniently located within the unit.
About The Career:
The primary function of the Speech Therapist is to perform and analyze tests and measurements of disabilities resulting from disease, injury; to plan, implement and modify treatment programs; to direct and supervise physical therapy services; to participate in discharge planning; to pursue professional growth; assist with educational duties and perform administrative and other duties as required. Must comply with all aspects of the Colorado Speech Language Pathologist Act in providing speech therapy services.
All About You:
Valid ASHA certification or equivalent.
Must have Current BLS Certification.
One year of experience is preferred.

Demonstrates ability to be flexible and adaptable. Demonstrates good verbal and written language skills including correct spelling and medical terminology. Demonstrates strong formal and informal clinical teaching skills. Demonstrates the ability to delegate effectively. Ability to work with patients of all ages. Awareness of Medicare and other insurance's regulations for coverage of speech therapy services.
