DAY-TO-DAY
You're dedicated to enhancing the lives of our students. You implement treatment protocols, maintaining a predictable schedule for speech therapy services according to IEP requirements. Your multifaceted role includes modeling language comprehension strategies, data collection during therapy sessions, and consulting with the SLP to ensure therapy objectives align with student progress.
You provide behavioral reinforcement, select appropriate materials, and offer orientation training in communication, feeding, swallowing, and assistive technology. Your role also includes maintaining accurate records and recognizing signs of dysphagia, and reporting safety concerns. Your commitment to our students' holistic well-being ensures therapy efforts lead to increased independence and safety.
Here's what we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree and MA licensure to practice as an SLPA
- Valid driver's license for more than one year
- Ability to safely drive the company's vehicles according to Massachusetts driving laws
- Willingness to participate in a minimum of two hours per month of in-service training to develop necessary skills
