About the Job
Our client, is a privately owned, state supported school for Deaf students from birth through 8th grade located in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn is seeking an Speech Language Pathologist
Type: Contract
Schedule: Hours: 08:00am-4:00pm, 3 days a week (Hybrid)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide service delivery: push-in model, pull-out model, community model.
* Maintain reports/notes as required.
* Assist with supervision of students.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
* Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), required
* New York State Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or New York State Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities, required.
* Sign Language Proficiency, preferred
PERSONAL QUALITIES
* Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and competing demands
* Demonstrated ability to work in a calm and respectful manner
* Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate others.
* Candidate must enjoy working with special needs childr
