 Responsibilities for the Speech Therapist position:

• Develop and implement an individualized treatment plan based on patient assessment/needs for any speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing disorders residents on short term, long term, and vent units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to identify and solve patient needs while providing quality care
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Maintain positive interaction with patients, families and caregivers while providing education and instruction for communication and swallowing disorders
• Consults with and educates ancillary staff on speech and swallowing topics, such as communication strategies, speech and language stimulation and swallow safety.

 Qualifications for the Speech Therapist position:

• Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited therapy program and Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
• Possesses a current license, preferably from the state of Delaware
• Current CPR certificate
• Requires good organizational and time management skills
