TITLE: Speech Language Therapist
LOCATION: Grangeville, ID
$10,000 Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Assistance Available
Must-Haves
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); or be eligible for, and actively working on completion of the Clinical Fellowship
Graduate from an ASHA accredited Speech/Language Pathology curriculum, or eligible for graduation within the next 6 months
Current Idaho Speech Language Pathologist license; Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Master's Degree in Speech Therapy required
Under the general direction of and upon physician referral; to assess the receptive/expressive communication and swallowing needs of impaired patients, develop treatment goals, plan and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing a variety of speech/language therapy treatment procedures.
The Speech Therapist must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in his/her department. The individual must acquire and/or demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He/she must be able to provide care with consideration of developmental status.

```Duties```
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess patients' communication and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders
- Provide therapy sessions to improve patients' speech, language, and swallowing skills
- Monitor and document patients' progress throughout the course of treatment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
```Qualifications```
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, principles, and practices
- Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders
- Experience working with patients in acute care or critical care settings is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and provide appropriate interventions
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain accurate documentation
Hours:
- Normal hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
- Opportunity for 4/10 schedule with blocked time for school documentation, meetings, and travel time considered. However, schedules may vary in accordance with school necessity.
- School setting working conditions.
- Schedule would reflect the assigned school’s schedule.
- During the summer months and holiday time off, therapist would also have this time off.
- Opportunity for summer and holiday clinic/hospital hours based off availability and competency.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $77,000.00 - $114,000.00 per year
