This position starts at the begining of the school year starting September 2024.. As a Speech Language Pathologist - SLP, you will provide individual and/or small group instructional services to an individual as designated on the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Pay- paid every Friday
Responsibilities Include:
The Speech Language Pathologist - SLP, will be teaching students coping strategies and provide treatment to eliminate or minimize specific communication disorders.
Evaluating and assessing communication delays with appropriate testing materials to arrive at a clear diagnosis in specific areas such as oral communication, which includes auditory perception, speech and expressive language; and total communication which include alternative modes and written communication.
Planning schedules to meet DISS/L students weekly.
Writing monthly and annual student progress reports.
Consulting with classroom teachers and support staff to coordinate classroom lessons and target specific social language development in cooperative group skills, self-concept, and daily living skills.
Working onsite during regular school operational hours.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree or higher in speech pathology or related field.
Active MA state SLP - Speech Language Patholigist License.
Strong oral and written communication.
Highly skilled in working with students with diverse needs.
