Location: Reading, PA 19605
Hours: 8am-3:30pm (35 hours)
Job Type: Open-Ended Contract
Rate: Competitive and Dependent on Experience
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students to identify speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language delays.
- Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, taking into consideration their age, development level, and communication goals.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide speech and language therapy sessions to students individually or in small groups, using evidence-based techniques and strategies to improve communication skills.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to student development and support.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Professional Development: Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Advocacy: Advocate for students' needs and promote awareness of speech and language disorders within the school community.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- PA Child Abuse Clearance/PA Criminal History Clearance/FBI Clearance (within one year)
- Proof of QualificationsÂ
- Proof of Insurance
- CPR/First Aide Certification
- Arrest/Conviction Report & Certification (ACT24)
- Letter of Assurance of ACT 168 Employment History Review was completed
- Proof of ACT 126 Child Abuse Recognition & Reporting Training
- Tuberculosis Test completed (less than 3 months old)
