Now Hiring:Speech Therapist
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities to determine individualized treatment goals.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to improve patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and independence.
- Patient-Centered Care: Collaborate with patients and their families to set realistic and achievable goals for therapy and create a supportive care environment.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including exercises, adaptive equipment recommendations, sensory integration therapy, and environmental modifications.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers on strategies and techniques to maximize independence and enhance their quality of life.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and establish new goals for rehabilitation.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and billing information, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Equipment and Resource Management: Select and recommend appropriate assistive devices and equipment to improve patient outcomes.
- Safety: Ensure a safe and accessible therapy environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with advancements in occupational therapy by attending workshops, conferences, and pursuing additional certifications as needed.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech Therapist in the California.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice in physical therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and patience when working with patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Proficiency in using therapy equipment and software for documentation.
