Speech Therapist - Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County

Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County is looking for Speech Therapists to provide home health visits in Litchfield County. Professional staff are assigned based on geography. Our speech therapists are responsible for developing and providing speech therapy services to our patients and for instructing the patient, caregivers and others in the appropriate techniques and plans of treatment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be licensed to practice speech pathology or audiology in the State of Connecticut with a minimum of three years clinical experience in speech pathology or audiology, or under the supervision of a speech therapist/pathologist who has a minimum of three years of clinical experience.

2. Must have dependable and properly insured transportation.

3. Must have a valid and current driver's license.

4 Must be able to read write and communicate in English.

5. Must be accessible by telephone and available to make home visits.

6. Must have the interpersonal skills necessary for working with the patients and caregivers, the public and with medical managers, as well as in a group/team environment.

7. Must have the ability to maintain patient confidentiality and be free of conflict of interest.
