Senior Splunk Engineer
& responsible for providing expert assistance in monitoring and analytics for web and mobile applications hosted on our homegrown platform built on Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our monitoring processes, leveraging tools like Splunk to ensure continuous performance optimization and troubleshooting. This role requires a deep understanding of ITIL principles and cloud monitoring methodologies.

This role offers the opportunity to be the primary influencer in defining our monitoring processes and mentoring junior engineers as our team grows. Onsite required 2 - 3 days a week in Indianapolis.&

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide expert support for customers utilizing monitoring and analytics tools for web and mobile applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to deployments and configurations within the platform.
Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize tool implementations for efficient data analysis and problem resolution.
Develop and maintain dashboards, knowledge base articles, and documentation specific to application support.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
&
Proficiency in Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar monitoring tools, with hands-on experience in configuration and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of log management, data indexing, and visualization techniques.
Experience in customer support or technical troubleshooting roles, with strong communication skills for engaging with customers and internal teams.
Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
Additional Requirements:
Stay updated on Splunk updates and industry best practices for effective monitoring.
Scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
Background in Unix, SQL, mobile, and/or web development.
Experience with Mulesoft integration platform.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure, security, and application performance monitoring.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and ECS.
Multitasking abilities and flexibility in adapting to shifting priorities.
Familiarity with ITIL principles or certification.
Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified User, Splunk Certified Power User).
