About the Job
Eastlake Performance is an athletically inspired training gym located in South Lake Union. We have a diverse client population, but the majority come from an athletic background. Our clients are assessed on movement mechanics, exertion, and progress during each session, so that we can maintain a linear progression that is both challenging and obtainable.
We prefer applicants who have at least 1-year of personal training experience and hold a CSCS or willing to pursue one in the future.
Your responsibilities:
Maintaining Client appointments:
Punctuality and communication are extremely important in this “service business”, we advise that you arrive early and be fully prepared for each session. If you can’t make a session for any reason and unable to find someone to cover, it is important that you contact each client individually, so they can reschedule their appointment accordingly.
Social Media Marketing:
- Take 1-2 exercise videos of clients and provide a written description of the programming so that we continue to foster a learning environment for the public.
Cleaning:
- Keep facilities clean and wipe down equipment after personal/client use.
- Help out with Wash/Dry/Folding of clients and cleaning towels.
- Contribute to posted cleaning list (vacuuming, sanitizing floors, bathrooms, kitchen, shower, and equipment)
- Keep all food in the office/kitchen/front desk and be cognizant of any crumbs or spills on the gym floor.
- No open food or drink containers on the gym floor except water.
- Be clean, well-put-together, and void of strong perfumes or colognes. We have a community of smell-sensitive clients that we try to keep happy.
- If you have an Eastlake Performance shirt, please wear it as often as possible.

Follow the basic structure of our workouts - Dynamic W/U, Pillar Stability, Workout Circuit/s
- All client workouts are uploaded into Trainerize so all trainers and clients can review them at anytime. This is especially important in cases of unforeseen sickness or absences.
- Exercises should be chosen to challenge clients every session, and should have creativity and purpose.
- Clients need to be closely monitored at all times, form needs to be corrected if there is a mechanical error that could result in injury.
Provided by Eastlake Performance:
- Direct Deposit Through Intuit Payroll Service.
- Gym Facility and all necessary equipment to provide clients with the training they need.
- Bookkeeping, scheduling software, trainerize app for client engagement and tracking.
- Continuing Education for full-time employees to keep credentials current.
- Have a personal training certification from an accredited agency.
- 4-year degree in a fitness-related major
- CPR/AED certified or can be completed before the start date.
- Understanding of the physiology and biomechanics of exercises and being able to explain them effectively.
- The athletic background is preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Good communication and reliability are a must!
Job Duties Include:
- Detailed programming per the individual's needs and skill set.
- Keeping the facility clean and organized.
- Coordinating schedules with clients and maintaining a proper channel of communication.
- Punctuality and reliability (being prepared before the client arrives).
- Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
Pay:
Depending on experience and accreditations, you'll start between $22.50 and $45, and pay will be reviewed during your 90-day probationary period.
If you have a CSCS certification, you will start at $27.50/hour with the opportunity to receive $30.00/hour after the first 90-days of employment.
