How you’ll make an impact:
Seeking engineers with a passion for music and entertainment to be an impactful part of the end to end multimedia and content delivery system of the satellite uplink systems team. Position will assist in systems software engineering, architecture, and satellite uplink projects for our production, test, and cloud environments. Candidates will work closely with partner vendors located in Canada and SiriusXM teams located across the United States and deliver improvements for immediate use by engineering and operations.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to development of web-based applications and software tools that improve QA, reduce DevOps and Engineering level of effort, and improve Enterprise Operations confidence in site acceptance testing before on-air deployment and identifying issues before impacting our SXM radio subscribers.
- Assist in deploying and validating internal engineering test environments using Amazon Web Services. Validate SiriusXM team access to AWS systems from disparate US locations and capabilities at each environment. Document configurations and procedures to enable functionality, supporting peer SiriusXM teams and ensuring their success.
- Contribute to future system design / requirements based on system expertise/knowledge from your experience and understanding of the uplink systems and operational use cases.
- Create Satellite Distribution Engineering documentation and coordinate knowledge transfer.
- Communicate with product managers effectively and efficiently status of projects and development tasks.
- With technical mentorship, learn from production issues to identify automated testing and improvements for future regression testing, capturing SiriusXM Engineering & Operations enhancements.
- Administrative support to include learning and development activities and SiriusXM events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by January 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
- Majors in engineering and computer science preferred. (Examples: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software, Aerospace, or other relevant engineering degrees are desired.)
- Technical interest and capacity to learn.

- Programming proficiency in Java, Python, Javascript.
- Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence), Google (Drive, Sheets), Office 365.
- Demonstrated leadership and success in multipartner/cross-functional projects.
- AWS certification preferred.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
