REPORTS TO: SQA Supervisor
DESCRIPTION:
Processes rejected product for incoming materials or components and production line returns. Documents, and communicates disposition of product to supplier quality management and production control management
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Inspects rejected product to verify defect and quantity
- Notifies SQA management and/or supplier quality engineer when disposition is needed for subjective rejected product
- Records defective information in appropriate format and spreadsheets as directed and communicates rejected inventory in a timely manner to supplier quality engineer, supervisor, manager, and production control
- Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures
- Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer
Education:
- High School education or GED
Experience:
- 1 or more years of manufacturing experience
Skills:
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions..
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
Training specific to position:
- Ability to operate a variety of testing instruments and equipment
Other:
- Must be willing to work overtime at a last moments notice..
- Must be able to work any assigned shift
Physical Demands : The employee is occasionally required to sit; and stoop, kneel, or crouch The employee frequently is required to stand or walk for periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
Environmental Conditions: This job operates primarily in a manufacturing environment, where the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The noise levels are within OSHA standards.
