Reports to: SQA Manager
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the activities of group leaders and supplier quality technicians.
- Assist in establishing work schedules and follow ups to assure completion of work schedules.
- Monitor ADP time keeping tool.
- Assist in maintaining the latest level documents and that old level documents are discarded.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions and find cause of problem.
- Oversee Inventory activities: Cycle counts; maintaining QA00 and QASORT locations
- Oversee sorting activity: Pull parts as necessary; assist in sorting; counting and writing up MDRs as is needed
- Observe work and monitor all measuring devices applicable to job functions used in this area and other indicators to ensure operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Aid the receiving area as applicable with labeling issues
- Ensure Group Leaders perform employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining all training records for SQA technicians.
- Communicate with and support other departments and perform all other work related activities as required.
- Participate in ongoing performance management including but not limited to evaluations, recommendations of wage increases and necessary corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirements.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in the Quality field in the automotive industry.
Skills:
- Above average mathematical skills, written skills, and verbal skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
- Capable of using Quality measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators.
Other:
- Must be able to work any assigned shift.
- Ability to judge color and pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue test yearly with a minimum score of 20.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands:
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
