Explanation for Position:
Our Client is in need of a SQL Programmer Contractor resource to continue development work for the next 6+ months on 2015 Revenue Management Projects. The table generation automation project will be designed to: a) Standardize input from various sources and automate (current is excel spreadsheets, MS access); b) Validate input against business rules; c) Process data to final stages; d) Deploy data(to SQL server, Oracle, .csv with control files).
Details of Position:
Support the development of business requirements and program specifications; Assist in the creation of project timelines; Work closely with management team to design application flow; Create and maintain various SQL Server -based applications; Design and implement database scheme and process flow; Develop, analyze and execute system test plans; Work closely with QA group to maintain application accuracy; Analyze Client data to determine necessary data constraints; Analyze various web based applications for performance related issues; Take full ownership of applications as it relates to automating production posting cycles and communicating with the various stakeholders;
Other:
Administration setup and optimization;
SQL Server query performance optimization, file manipulation, exception handling;
Good experience in systems analysis, applications development and systems architecture;
A minimum 5+ years of T-SQL experience - performance tuning, DTS, stored procedures, triggers, views.
Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Mgmt. Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline Preferred)
3-5 years technical experience in database / applications development
