SQL Server Database Administrator - Talent & Acquisition LLC., d/b/a Stand 8

We are seeking a knowledgeable SQL Server Database Administrator with experience in the operation, maintenance, and implementation of Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be proficient in T-SQL, backup and recovery processes, and database migration, with a strong ability to optimize and manage SQL Server environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and implement Microsoft SQL Server databases (SQL Server 2008 and higher) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop and manage T-SQL scripts, including the creation and utilization of stored procedures and other database objects.
• Create databases and primary objects in SQL Server, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Perform backup and recovery of SQL Server databases to protect against data loss.
• Migrate prior versions of SQL Server to SQL Server 2012 on Windows servers, including the conversion of DTS packages to SSIS.
• Install, implement, and monitor SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for SQL Server 2008.
• Execute command line Data Definition Language (DDL) operations and scripting to manage database structures and configurations.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application development and database design.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with the operation, maintenance, and implementation of Microsoft SQL Server databases (SQL Server 2008 and higher).
• Proficiency in T-SQL and experience in creating and utilizing stored procedures.
• At least three (3) years of experience in the creation of databases and primary database objects in SQL Server.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in backup and recovery processes for SQL Server databases.
• At least two (2) years of experience migrating prior versions of SQL Server to SQL Server 2012 on Windows servers, including converting DTS packages to SSIS.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience installing, implementing, and monitoring SSIS and SSAS for SQL Server 2008.
• At least two (2) years of experience in command line DDL operations and scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud-based SQL Server solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
