Technical Requirements and/or Certifications
- SQL Server 2016
- Database Administration principals and best practices
- Application development practices and techniques
- High Availability database configurations (HA DB)
- Understanding schema options beyond relational to include Data Warehouse and ETL
- Server administration and associated operating system technologies
- Expert knowledge in SQL Server, experience in Oracle highly desired.
- Experience with InterSystems Caché is a huge Plus!
- Certifications desired
- Hands-on knowledge in more than one technology is desired
Education and Experience
- Must have 7+ years plus of database administration experience with SQL Server, Oracle experience desired, experience with InterSystems Caché a plus
- At least 5 years' experience working with large databases
- At least 7 years' experience with backup and recovery strategies and procedures
- Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Experience designing and implementing High Availability (HA) configurations
- Experience working with file systems that are hosted in a SAN environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- MUST have excellent verbal communication skills
