Type of Engagement: 6-month contract (Not open to 3rd party C2C consultants. Visa sponsorship is not available)
Work Location: remote
Candidates must be able to work in the Eastern or Central Standard time zone.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of experience performing database administration on Microsoft SQL Server (4 years + with College Degree)
- Team Player and ability to understand criticality of requests
- Attention to Detail would be a great soft-skill asset in performing the job
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to oversee multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
- Proficient with or able to quickly learn the software and applications used in the organization and the industry
- Effective risk analysis, prioritization and stakeholder facilitation to reach timely decisions
- Ability to effectively present complex technical information to end users, coworkers, and management
- Excellent verbal and written skills, including preparation of reports
Big Bonus Points if you Have:
- Exposure to SSIS
- Exposure to Enterprise Security implementations in a health care setting
Job Overview:
The Database Administrator is responsible for storing, utilizing and organizing enterprise data in the most efficient manner, adhering to corporate policies and data retrieval and usage requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain current database environment Microsoft (SQL Server) by performing backups, tuning and capacity planning
- Use tools like SQL Profiler for database tuning. Generate traces, execution plans, identify performance issues, deadlocks/contention and resolve them.
- Understand the internal work order process of EDW (Omnihealth Data) and work closely with the ETL Development team to ensure data is processed in a timely manner
- Develop strategies and implement solutions for managing backups, restoration and replication.
- Create and manage constraints and indexes.
- Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL, tuning of DML and the creation of stored procedures.
- Proactive housekeeping/archiving and shrinking of databases.
- Coordination and participation in deployments from a Data Management team standpoint, as and when required
- Some Offhours and weekend work may be required to support the database environments and planned deployments

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $60.00 - $65.00 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
