Job Description
Strong SQL Server Database administrator for SQL (2005, 2008 and 2012)
10 or more years of experience with SQL Server.
The candidate must have strong performance and tuning skills at both server and query level.
Must have ability analyze performance issues from both windows and SQL server levels.
- Strong knowledge of SQL DMV tables
- Strong Scripting abilities are required.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server Replication
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Database Mirroring
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Log Shipping
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server partitioning.
- Excellent Knowledge of SQL Server Clustering
- Excellent Knowledge of reporting services
- Expertise in automating operational tasks
- Expertise in process improvement.
- Ability to execute a process, think about how to improve it and then improve the process.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server Security best practices and how to tighten SQL Server security to prevent data loss.
- Awareness of analysis services
- Excellent knowledge of SSIS.
- Administrative experience with large databases (1/2 Tb or more)
- Experience with Always On is preferred.
- Experience with SQL 2014 is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to bring a database administration group to the next level by suggesting, implement and help implement process improvement.
