Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level to Senior SQL Server Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong Transact-SQL (T-SQL) development skills, a robust background in reporting using SSRS and SSIS, and experience in data migration and database upgrades. Manufacturing industry experience is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and implement T-SQL code, including the creation of stored procedures, SQL Agent jobs, database indexing, and views.
• Perform database maintenance tasks such as backups, query optimization, and light administration.
• Migrate and upgrade existing databases while ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Create and maintain reporting solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Will learn and Translate legacy Visual Basic code into C# to dismantle the current VB environment and retool applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop testing plans, ensuring thorough testing of code prior to production rollout.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps for project management and source control.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases, including T-SQL development.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining stored procedures, SQL Agent jobs, and optimizing queries.
• Writing scripts and SQL code to migrate complex databases in a manufacturing environment
• Basic Data/Database design, modeling, and normalization skills
• Competent basic DBA/SQL Server Administration with Security and User Administration
• Familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 and above, Windows 11).
• Experience in developing and executing testing plans to ensure code quality.
• Some understanding of Microsoft Azure DevOps.

Desired Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft C# and ASP.NET Core development using Visual Studio 2010+ (C# & VS 2022).
• Ability to read and translate Visual Basic code into C#
• Knowledge of Cisco switches, LAN, and fiber optics is a plus.

• Familiarity with EPICS, Sage 100, Global Search, and MP2 is highly beneficial.
• Experience in Azure Cloud development.
• Android development experience using Java/Kotlin.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in SQL Server development, data migration, and reporting.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
