We're seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to provide 24x7 support for complex SQL Server applications, including high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions. This is a critical role supporting Tier 1 applications as a replacement for a departing senior DBA, ensuring business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Administration: Provide infrastructure DBA support for all SQL Server applications, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any issues.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Manage and support HA and DR solutions, ensuring the reliability of key applications.
• Database Integrity & Space Management: Configure and execute integrity checks, monitor space allocation, and make necessary adjustments in development and test environments.
• Patch Management & Maintenance: Assist in the planning, installation, and maintenance of patches and service packs in development and test environments.
• Backup & Recovery: Ensure the reliability of database backups, troubleshoot errors, and monitor scheduled processes for development, test, and production environments.
• Troubleshooting & Monitoring: Monitor database environments for issues and connectivity problems, proactively resolving any downtime or functionality issues.
• Standards & Guidelines: Develop and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry and organizational standards.
• System Documentation: Create, update, and maintain systems documentation for current and new installations.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience (SQL Server 2016 and upwards).
• Expertise in high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Experience with Transparent Data Encryption within SQL Server.
• 3+ years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining systems documentation.
• Strong knowledge of patch management, database integrity, backup/recovery, and space management in large-scale SQL environments.
