Sr. Account Manager (German Accounts) - Oakland County
The Account Manager will oversee regional management of German customer accounts and act as the primary contact for account growth. This includes identifying regional opportunities, conducting customer-specific due diligence, and handling pricing and costing.

The Account Manager will oversee regional management of German customer accounts and act as the primary contact for account growth. This includes identifying regional opportunities, conducting customer-specific due diligence, and handling pricing and costing.
Key Functions & Responsibilities of the Senior Account Manager
- Create and manage price quotes, including tool and pricing breakdowns.
- Handle purchase orders, including processing, tracking, and invoicing.
- Provide both direct and indirect support to the Customer Business Unit (CBU).
- Participate in CBU and Business Group acquisition activities related to customer needs such as forecasting, capacity planning, and technology offerings. Monitor and revise award packages to support future growth objectives.
- Collaborate with various internal teams, such as Engineering, NVH, Finance, Program Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Costing as needed.
- Ensure daily business activities are conducted in compliance with company policies on business relationships.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in the automotive industry is preferred; experience with acoustic/thermal management products is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of the market, with a focus on identifying business development opportunities and monitoring competitive threats.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% (both domestically and internationally).
- Proficiency in the local language (e.g., English for North America); knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of writing detailed reports and effectively presenting information to senior managers, customers, and suppliers.
- Ability to prioritize and remain organized under pressure.
- Basic math proficiency is required.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, internet tools, and email applications.
