We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Sr Accountant to join our team in the technology industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and propriety of all financial data and reports. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing journal entries and general ledger operations. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
- Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements, including federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
- Collaborate with the finance department to support overall department goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. A CPA or similar qualification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with financial software.
- Experience in the technology industry is a plus.
