Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The Senior Accountant will manage various accounting functions and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for owners and management across departments. Key responsibilities include reviewing cash flow, maintaining consistent reporting, training staff on financial procedures, and supporting overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements and consolidated reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness, offering insights and recommendations to owners and management across departments.
- Conduct regular cash flow reviews to manage the company's financial liquidity.
- Maintain consistency in financial reporting by adhering to standardized procedures and formats.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial operations.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide training and support to accounting staff on financial preparation, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing and reviewing tax filings.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Provide overall support to the accounting team to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Real Page and cloud-based) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
