POSITION SUMMARY
As a Senior Accountant you will serve as a business partner within a talented and dynamic team environment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions from processing vendor invoices to month-end close procedures and reporting. Working in collaboration with the CFO, the ideal candidate will embrace the use of technology; seek ways to identify and enhance our current procedures and drive financial reporting and insights for executive leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO ONCE HERE
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including month-end close procedures
Preparation of monthly financial statements
Analyze variances and trends, and alert leaders on significant variances from budget, forecast and internal control standards
Design and monitor effective control processes to track financial performance against expectations, including early “red flags” to identify potential shortfalls
Assist with cashflow management and reporting
Prepare regulatory filings, including quarterly debt compliance certificates
Assist with the annual financial audit, including preparation of schedules
Assist with year-end equity reconciliation
Identify better processes, tools, and techniques for completing projects in an efficient manner
Identify and draft policies and procedures to ensure sound internal and financial reporting controls
Perform ad-hoc business analyses as assigned
EXPERIENCE & MINDSET YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
A degree in accounting or finance
Minimum of 4+ years related experience as an accountant
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and best business practices
Excellent project management skills
CPA designation preferred
Experience in the financial services industry a plus
Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Suite
Salesforce experience preferred
