Role:
We seek an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Olean, NY. As a multi-state Commercial – Industrial Mechanical Construction and Service Contractor, we have grown significantly and now require a supervising member for our accounting team. What Makes You A Good Fit?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of Accounting/Finance experience in the Construction Industry is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista or other similar ERP accounting software.
- Possession of professional certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant, is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the CFO in preparing monthly and annual financial reports and statements for the executive team to ensure compliance with various statutory requirements, generally accepted accounting principles, and established policies and procedures.
- Manage and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the collection process.
- Coordinate monthly and annual accounting closings.
- Reconcile general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job cost monthly.
- Provide technical accounting support to operations and sales staff with management of service and project contracts.
- Assist CFO with annual business insurance renewals.
- Assist with developing, reviewing, and updating accounting policies, procedures, checklists, and related documentation concerning assigned functions and responsibilities.
- Maintain internal control safeguards as related to project financial information.
Compensation & Location
This position is on-site and will be based out of Olean, NY. This is a full-time position that is available for immediate hire. A meaningful compensation package for the successful candidate will be developed, including a base salary, 401K with company match, profit sharing, PTO, paid company holidays, and comprehensive health care benefits.
