Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant that is fully remote. This role involves a heavy focus on reconciliation and accounting in a dynamic environment with multiple systems and entities. Your ability to work with large datasets and strong Excel skills will be essential to successfully manage the tasks at hand.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake extensive bank and GL account reconciliation projects
- Leverage strong Excel skills to manage large datasets effectively
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-direction
- Navigate through multiple systems and entities, adapting to different methodologies
- Be comfortable and efficient in an ambiguous environment with multiple ongoing projects
- Utilize Oracle for various accounting tasks
- Prepare and post detailed journal entries
- Manage tasks related to balance sheet reconciliation
- Ensure all account reconciliations are completed accurately and timely.
Requirements - Proven experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar position
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
- Solid understanding and experience with general ledger operations
- Capable of creating and posting journal entries accurately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with month end close procedures and practices
- Knowledge and experience in using Oracle financial software
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of accounting.
