Sr. Accounting Analyst - Redline Resources

The Sr. Accounting Analyst is responsible for providing general accounting support, including but not limited to the preparation and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, month-end closing activities, and performing variance analysis. This role will also be responsible for the creation of financial statements for the annual audit and coordination with the external auditors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset across all company processes

• Prepare technical accounting memos and assist in the development of accounting policies

• Maintain procedures to comply with internal control requirements and identify process improvements and efficiencies

• Assist plants and other departments with various topics and issues as they arise and mentor finance personnel

• Analyze and implement new accounting standards in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS

• Assist with the annual financial statement audit, including preparation if the financial statements and coordinating with the external auditors and providing supporting documentation

• Assist with overall maintenance of financial systems and software and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation

• Participate in the monthly close process, including preliminary review of financial statements, preparation and posting of journal entries, and explanation of variances

• Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts monthly and in accordance with the monthly close calendar

• Assist with preparation and presentation of quarterly financial updates for plant and segment finance

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (Master’s degree, MBA preferred), CPA preferred

• 3+ years of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred)

• Strong analytical and accounting skills, including knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS

• Automotive or manufacturing experience a plus

• Major ERP system experience required, PLEX, OneStream experience a plus
