The Senior Administrative Payroll position primarily focuses on providing support to the payroll team by reviewing timesheets, maintaining the ticketing system, and ensuring accuracy in payments and timesheets. The role involves handling a high volume of data, with a preference for experience in managing payroll for 10,000 or more employees. The position in this role will assist the payroll team, demonstrate strong customer service skills, effective communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop proficiency in policy and procedure interpretation and responds appropriately to employee service tickets.
- Review and processe weekly timesheet and all corrections to ensure compliance
- Assist with termination payments in compliance with labor payment regulations.
- Perform data entry in a variety of software
- Reviews and processes labor, payroll and garnishment reports to ensure compliance and record keeping requirements.
- Assist with leave adjustments in the system.
- Calculate and process all retro active salary adjustments
- Assist internal and external customers with questions related to garnishment disbursement and transactions
- Review garnishment orders, scanning and uploading orders to vendor for processing.
- Submit and monitor garnishment cases along with payment transmissions to agencies to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure payroll records are saved and retained in compliance with the retention policy
- Provide support with internal and external audits.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Degree, 4-6 years of experience
- Minimum of 2 years of related payroll experience.
- Experience with Deltek, Costpoint and UKG payroll preferred
- Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Minimum of 2 years of high volume payroll experience (10,000+ employees).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Proficiency in UKG and Deltek Costpoint payroll systems is preferred

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
