Advanced Manufacturing Engineer position located in Minneapolis, MN
SUMMARY:
As an Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer you will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing processes
You will determine equipment and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification for both existing and new processes
You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization
Support daily production activities and drive producibility improvement projects for new products in a challenging environment
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production
Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements
Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices
Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis
Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions
Assist development of new products
Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow
Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals
Test products & software
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Due to compliance with U.S
export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S
Person, which is defined as, a U.S
citizen, a U.S
permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S
under asylum or refugee status
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
5+ years experience

Experience with Optics
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects
Hands on work ethic
Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions
Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members across functions
Quickly and accurately identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream)
Conveying information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse teams
Root Cause Corrective Action / Lean / Six Sigma
Automation experience, PLC programming, robotic controls (FANUC)
