Position: Senior Analyst, International Trade Compliance
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Analyst, International Trade Compliance to join their team!
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in a pivotal role, overseeing and ensuring the company's compliance with U.S. import regulations. This position will involve managing customs operations, collaborating with internal teams, and streamlining compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. customs regulations, managing classification codes and monitoring changes in import rules.
- Oversee the daily operations of the customs team, including auditing, documentation review, and problem-solving for any delays in goods clearance.
- Assist in the development and refinement of a compliance program for a new team that was recently restructured under the legal department.
- Collaborate with various departments such as logistics, sourcing, and distribution to resolve any issues related to incoming shipments.
- Utilize data and metrics to evaluate and enhance operational efficiency in managing imports.
- Manage interactions with customs brokers and other third-party service providers to ensure smooth processing of all import activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in customs compliance, trade regulations, or related fields.
- Proficiency in U.S. import/export regulations, including classification under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and improve existing processes.
- Experience in managing import operations, including customs filings, auditing, and handling issues related to shipment clearance.
- Familiarity with software tools like Microsoft Excel and CargoWise ONE, with the ability to create dashboards or reports.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Certifications: U.S. Customs Broker License and/or Certified Customs Specialist strongly preferred.

Other Information:
- This role is on-site from Monday through Friday, with flexible hours and a half-day on Fridays.
- The contract is expected to last until January, with potential for full-time hire depending on performance and fiscal needs.
