Maximus is looking to a Analyst - Business. This role will be responsible for providing support for the implementation of newly approved customer correspondence to be generated via the xPression; maintenance of all existing CLASS ED customer correspondence; & successfully prepare, implement and follow up on all implementation projects under the FSA Department of Education portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate internal and external communication and change processes, act as the primary point of contact.
- Work with functional area directors/managers and subject matter experts to define specific change requirements.
- Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements.
- Increase effectiveness of project documentation such as reports and client communication.
- Obtain status updates and resolve questions from operational areas.
- Draft clear and comprehensive business process documentation to support operational activities.
- Analyze and provide recommendations for internal process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.

- Individually and collectively analyze and work on specific projects/implementation requests as assigned in response to system or servicing needs.
- Participate in User Acceptance testing for system upgrades to include identification of test case scenarios and reporting of issues identified via testing.
- Perform validation of ad hoc jobs to verify expected results for loan/account correction, provide detailed results summary of validation.
- Study, analyze, develop and recommend system or processing solutions considering user needs, business rules, business processes, system capabilities, policies, and regulations.
- Partner with the Implementation team peers to work on projects and increase skill set.
- Analyze and resolve loan discrepancies or processing issues on a regular basis via audit reports or by performing restricted access updates. Prioritize discrepancies and issues based on risk and elevate to the Supervisor where needed.
- Resolve processing issues and answer user questions related to servicing and program requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable, federal, state and local rules and regulations.
- Ensure audit and internal control (ICE) documentation is updated as required.
- Serve as a resource to the user community regarding servicing system issues and account/loan resolution.
- Serve as a resource to the IT community regarding individual data issues to facilitate account/loan correction and/or development design.
- Prepare issue summaries to operations when servicing deficiencies or training issues are identified.
- Participate in work groups to support the analysis of new and pending system and operational requests as a subject matter expert.
- Participate in business requirement design sessions.
- Accurate and timely review of processing requests as related to the profile maintenance of the servicing system.
- Creation/Update of communication materials and data exception files as required.
- Maintain test files for data integrity and audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of student loan servicing and/or CLASS servicing system experience
- Basic knowledge of student loan operations, servicing and compliance requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of project experience either as a key participant or as a project lead with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a time-sensitive environment
- Experience with Microsoft applications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to meet or exceed deliverables in a time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrated ability to successfully identify, analyze and resolve issues using sound business judgment
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with all levels of people, management and vendors to accomplish goals

- Must reside in the U.S.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
