POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer/Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ServiceNow development and architecture, specifically within the financial, asset management, credit card, or banking industries. This position is hands-on and requires someone who is adept at coding, managing deployments, and collaborating with various teams to gather requirements and integrate solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Documents system design solutions and source code using standard requirement templates provided by the business analysts/release managers.
- Follows outlined software architecture and designs provided.
- Develops system solutions that meet both the quality standards and timelines as determined by the business.
- Tests software using proven testing frameworks, tools and techniques.
- Works closely with quality assurance to remedy issues uncovered.
- Follows specified change management process and documentation.
- Participates in team meetings, providing input and suggestions.
- Leads the design, development, and implementation of custom applications, workflows, and ServiceNow modules (e.g., Service Management, Change Management, CMDB, Custom Applications)
- Writes clean, efficient, and scalable code in ServiceNow, ensuring best practices and coding standards are met
- Manages ServiceNow deployments, including custom apps, configurations, and updates across environments
- Collaborates closely with stakeholders and requirements gathering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Develops and manage integrations using REST APIs and ServiceNow IntegrationHub
- Mentors junior developers and guide teams in technical best practices
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to ServiceNow environments, performance, and integration
- Drives continuous improvements in processes and tools for the ServiceNow platform
- Follows rules of the organization using the employee handbook, company tenets, and the SDLC to understand those rules.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Understanding of software development in an Object Oriented and Multi-Tier Environment
- Must have high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to adapt and overcome problems; must be able to multitask and prioritize independently.
- Ability to take on new tasks and to adjust to an energetic, continually evolving environment.
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience, with strong proficiency in scripting, workflows, and custom applications
- 10+ years of Object-Oriented development experience in languages like Java, Python, or .NET
- Proven experience in the Financial, Asset Management, Credit Card, or Banking industries
- Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, integrations, and ServiceNow IntegrationHub
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow modules, including Service Management, Change Management, CMDB, and custom applications
- Experience in managing deployments and environments, utilizing tools like Jenkins, Git, JIRA (or equivalent)
- ServiceNow Certified Developer (required) and Administrator and/or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist a plus
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience building legacy workflows, business rules, script includes, ui policies, client scripts, flows in flow designer and actions in flow designer
- Experience with Service Portal building and troubleshooting widgets; employee center
- Experience with workspaces and UI builder components
- Experience in Agile development methodologies
- Prior leadership experience or ability to mentor and guide junior developers
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and configuration management
- Automated testing (Selenium, Mercury tools)
