What You’ll Do
- Manage and maintain our infrastructure using Terraform, Azure PaaS, and Kubernetes.
- Develop monitoring and alerting systems that focus on symptoms rather than outages.
- Document findings to create repeatable actions and automate processes.
- Enhance the deployment process to ensure it is efficient and reliable.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues across various services and stack levels.
- Propose and implement automation solutions to reduce workload within the product team.
- Plan, design, and execute solutions to achieve team goals.
- Execute configuration changes at both application and infrastructure levels.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve system availability and performance through monitoring insights.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
- Gain a deep understanding of the portfolio and its integrations.
- Improve DevOps practices, accelerate delivery, and lead troubleshooting efforts to enhance system resiliency.
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps.
- Respond to TechOps incidents and provide support for customer issues.
All You’ll Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
- General knowledge in multiple areas with deep expertise in at least two:
- Implementing “Infrastructure as Code” using Terraform for Azure and on-prem infrastructure.
- Utilizing GitHub, GitHub Actions (GHA) CI/CD, and Azure DevOps (ADO) for automation.
- Load balancing applications, including proxies and CDN automation.
- Implementing monitoring and observability in AKS and Kubernetes.
- Monitoring and metrics using Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and integrating with Moogsoft/xMatters.
- Managing open-source logging infrastructure.
- Scripting automated performance testing scenarios for APIs and web front ends, and embedding them in CI/CD pipelines with dashboarding and reporting query languages.
