What to ExpectAs a Senior/Staff Reliability Test Engineer focusing on Battery Systems, you will play a key role in designing reliability into Tesla Energy’s battery modules and packs. This role follows the reliability lifecycle of the product from concept to design, development testing/analysis, manufacturing, and field operation to design-in, confirm, and grow exceptional reliability at every stage
You will investigate failures through physical testing of residential and industrial energy batteries to accurately predict the system’s robustness and optimize product reliability while accelerating Tesla’s next gen products’ time to market. What You’ll DoLead reliability test execution for all Industrial & Residential Energy BatteriesDetermine Battery test solutions that optimize for product reliability and durability, DFMEA-based risk mitigations, test team resources, and program schedulesExecute product, subsystem, and component level reliability/durability testingConduct test data analysis, clearly communicate test results, and collaborate with design and reliability engineers to resolve issues detected in testingDesign and implement next generation hardware test systems and setups to facilitate reliable design characterization and accelerated life testing Procure and develop required test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems to enhance creative component and product level reliability testing.
