Sr. Boomi Developer at TEKsystems

We are looking for a Senior Boomi Developer to work on a contract-to-hire arrangement. This is a position where this person will need to live in the Eagan, MN area, or be willing to move there on "day 1" of the contract. This is a W-2 opportunity

Description: The primary focus of the Senior Boomi Developer position is to align business requirements with development activities within the Enterprise Data team. Candidate will work closely with Principal Solutions Architect and Senior Business Analyst to build software solutions that provide a measurable benefit to the business unit. Additionally, potential candidate will be asked to assist with implementing development and security best practices for the entire enterprise. Individual selected for this role will be required to identify opportunities for improvement that align with long-term strategic plans. A Senior Engineer should have exceptional software development experience, strong analytical abilities coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Thoroughly document development process to achieve a repeatable, efficient process that non-technical resources can adopt.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency throughout the entire enterprise.

• Communicate difficult and complex scenarios in an easily perceived manner.

• Participate in every stage of the SDLC; specifically, requirements analysis, design, and development.

• Understand common enterprise architecture patterns and development best practices.

• Ability to understand and comprehend multiple APIs, integrations, and the implications of certain architecture decisions.

• Closely work with Principal Solutions Architect and Senior Business Analyst to deliver software solutions for the enterprise.

• Align requirements with applications and technology.

• Ability to present complex ideas to Marvin leadership via presentations and demonstrations.

• Work in a Cloud-first API-led environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A thorough technical understanding of APIs and file-based integrations.

• Knowledge of message-based implementations and their use cases.

• Experience with object-oriented language such as Java and/or Groovy.

• Ability to decompose complexity into small, atomic, reusable modules.

• Required experience with enterprise design patterns.

• Strong experience with JSON and/or XML; design implications.

• Ability to lead peer reviews and mentor junior team members.

• Knowledge of and experience with scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
