Job Title: Business Analyst (Insurance/Financial Services)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the insurance or financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry-specific processes, regulatory requirements, and best practices. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing business needs, defining requirements, and ensuring that solutions align with business goals. This position involves working closely with stakeholders to drive process improvement and deliver high-quality projects that meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, focusing on insurance and/or financial services domains.
- Process Improvement: Identify, analyze, and recommend business process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed requirement documents, use cases, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications.
- Solution Development Support: Collaborate with IT and project teams to develop, test, and deploy solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear, continuous communication with business stakeholders, project teams, and management to manage expectations and ensure project alignment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all solutions comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in insurance or financial services.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance/financial industry products, processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio), data analysis (e.g., SQL, Excel), and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to working in cross-functional teams.
- Preferred Experience: Knowledge of Agile methodology, experience with compliance and risk management requirements in the insurance/financial sector.
Nice-to-Have:
- Prior experience in customer journey mapping, claims processing, underwriting, or policy administration.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Client, SEC, or NAIC standards.
- Certifications in Agile (CSM, CSPO) or industry-relevant credentials (AINS, CPCU).
